The population of foreign countries (Sweden, Germany, Austria, Canada, the USA, etc.) is usual used long ago by heat of the earth, water or air for the needs by means of thermal pumps. About thirty years ago for heating of the house only very secure person was able to afford use of the thermal pump. Now thermal pumps are the most popular option of use of nonconventional and renewable sources of heat energy. The USA is the leader in respect of use of thermal pumps for heating and hot water supply of the households. So far it is not so widespread in USA, but gradually popularity of use of this method, undoubtedly, will gain steam.

In rather near future (by 2020) the World power committee predicts increase in installations with thermal pumps for heat supply to 75%. Many countries, aiming at obvious benefit from implementation of thermal pumps, encourage the citizens in the form of different privileges and subsidies at the organization of such system of heating. It is very interested in this direction the government of Ukraine which set the task by 2030 to increase heat generation by 100 times, implementing the newest technologies of alternative power supply.

Underground waters with the low temperature, air, and layers of the earth up to 400 meters in depth can be the source of low-potential heat energy as. The main forming of the thermal mode of the earth happens at the expense of the falling solar radiation from the outside and the flow of radiogenic thermal waves from within. Steadier temperature of layers of earth is noted at the depth more than 20 meters as here seasonal and daily temperature fluctuations do not influence any more. At this depth positive temperature about 10 degrees is observed constantly all the year round.

So, one spent kW of the electric power leaves 4 kW of the transformed heat energy that corresponds to the effectiveness ratio of the thermal pump equal 1:4. In practice it is checked that such installation pays off approximately through 5 heating seasons. But it is necessary to remember that if you choose similar option of heating of the dwelling, then the organization of this task should be planned on the initial cycle of construction as installation of the thermal pump will demand large volumes of earthwork.

Advantages of installation of the thermal pump

  1. Profitability. Thermal pumps have high efficiency (to the maximum 700%) at low energy consumption that cannot but please. Moreover, similar installations exclude need of additional monetary expenditure for purchase, fuel transportation and also releases the room space demanded for its placement.
  2. Safety. These installations are not connected with use of combustible and explosive materials even at the high powers. Are protected from the fires and are explosion-proof.
  3. Functionality. Thermal pumps are successfully used to heating, hot water supply and as conditioners indoors.
  4. Environmental friendliness. This equipment for obtaining heat does not use any fuel and therefore also burns nothing that positively affects ecology. Thermal installation does not allocate harmful emissions (CO, CO2, SO2, etc.).
  5. Durability and reliability.
  6. Automatic operating mode. Does not demand special conditions in operation. It is enough to check technical parameters at the beginning of the heating season and to carry out the periodic operating mode.

Choosing the thermal pump, it is necessary to remember that the powerful unit will longer pay off while weak will not allow to achieve desirable results and will increase the electric power expense. It is better to choose the "golden mean" allowing to combine all necessary pluses.
